Jen and Brian 3/27/2010

We were able to attend our good friends' wedding in Tahoe a couple weekends ago, and we had so much fun! Tim's parents came up and stayed in the cabin with Gracie while we went with our friend Allison. Sunday morning we let Gracie particiate in her first Easter egg hunt...it was a great weekend :) And the snow suit Gracie is wearing was mine when I was a baby too!

Easter

Gracie was able to wear a dress that belonged to me when I was a baby :) And in the morning, she wore her Easter bib which cousin Nikki gave her.

8 weeks

Gracie is now eight weeks old, and time has flown by. Even though she is not expected to be where a full-term eight week old would be developmentally, she is growing and changing all the time. She LOVES baths, can sleep as much as 5 1/2 hours at night, and focuses on faces and will stare for minutes at a time. I enjoy being home with her during the day, and we are blessed that she falls asleep easily on her own so I can get laundry and housework done! Lacie is great with her, very gentle, just sniffs to make sure she is okay when she cries and walks away. We will be returning to church this weekend and we could not be more thrilled. She sleeps well through everything and loves music so I know she will enjoy the service :)

Visitors

We have been lucky to have so many people who live nearby visit Gracie both in and out of the hospital. Since she was pre-term, she can't be around crowds, but small amounts of people visiting is fine. We had many visitors in the hospital, even if they could not see Gracie, because she was in the NICU. Since we have been home, many friends and family members have stopped by to meet our little one. She still has many more people to meet...we are excited for her to meet her Great Grandma and Grandpa Robb, Great Grandma and Grandpa Timmons, and Great Grandma and Grandpa Dixon. It is hard to believe she has EIGHT Great Grandparents! We are fortunate to have Great Grandma and Grandpa Jones just a short drive from home, and they have been able to see her a couple times. Here are some pictures of Gracie with family and friends.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

We are really celebrating this year! Gracie's due date was today, and of course, we all know she couldn't wait that long! Probably wanted to make sure she was able to eat her Gammie's corned beef and cabbage and green mashed potatoes...

So...Happy St Patty's! Love, Gracie

Family Visit

This weekend my Dad and Debbie, as well as my brother Korbe and sister-in-law Traci came for a quick visit. It was their first time meeting Gracie and we were all excited. We enjoyed the sunshine with a walk to the park, had BBQ dinner and watched a movie, and overall just enjoyed each other's company. We were sad to see them leave, but we will see Korbe and Traci this summer, and Dad and Debbie are already planning trips in April and May.

A Day With Gammie

We are blessed to have my mom "Gammie" only 20 minutes away, so on Thursday Tim dropped off Gracie and I at her house to spend the day while he was at work. My mom still had to work, but was home most of the day and gave me some much needed rest while she held Gracie and snuggled her. We watched movies, had yummy lunch and I got a nap on the couch. Then daddy came back and picked us up and we headed home! It was a wonderful day and I think we will have a repeat performance soon!
